Here we are in a brand New Year- 2018. And as each New Year comes we now have 365 days of infinite potential and possibilities before us.
Wilferd A. Peterson, one of my favorite inspirational, New thought writers has written: “Each day is a lifetime in miniature – the supreme art of living is to strive to live each day well.”
What a delightful challenge – living each day well: For one day we can truly be magnanimous. For one day we can be loving. For one day we can be forgiving. For one day we can be caring. For one day we can be generous. For one day we can hold our tongue. For one day we can remember our prayer times. For one day we can hold our tempers. For one day we can work at bettering our lives.
If we would but learn to take life in twenty-four hour increments we would find life easier to live.
We often carry the burden of all the years that have gone on before and feel weighted down with the past so that this day is difficult. Or we project out into the future the tremendous burdens that lie ahead and carry it all at one time so that it breaks our back.
One day is all we have One day is all we need. As we live one day at a time, life is much, much easier.
For this marvelous New Year, let us live one day at a time so that we can thoroughly enjoy the entire year.
Love and Blessings,
